THE MALT WHISKY TRAIL

When you think of Scotland, you quickly (and rightly so) think of whisky. The finest and some of the best known malt whiskys come from the Speyside, the area in the north east of Scotland. It is not without reason that you can follow a real Malt Whisky Trail here. Each whisky has its unique flavor and character and each house has its own tour and tasting. Here you visit the whisky houses of Macallan, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, among others. But a visit to a lesser known house is also highly recommended. This is a journey that every whisky enthusiast must have taken once. There are numerous B&Bs and Inns in this region for the ultimate total experience. Great to do with a bunch of friends.

VISIT A DISTILLERY

But not only in the Speyside you can visit whisky distilleries, this is possible almost throughout Scotland. Take a nice tour if you are a fan of the islands' malt whiskys. The DUKE knows where the whisky houses are and can arrange accommodation nearby, so you don't have to drive after the tasting. A visit to such a house is a must during your trip through Scotland, even if you are not a whisky fan!
